A very big Triangle
between Beaufort, Stamford, and Colorado.

Beaufort

Last week I went to the fish camp with Whit and Jack.

I've found that "fish camp" isn't really a ubiquitous term. In the Lowcountry it refers to a little house on a small island.
You have to take a boat to get there.

Sometimes it's nice to be isolated from the world.

The generator was not working properly and would go out for seconds to minutes at a time. Therefore we played cards in the dark sometimes.

Next, we got in the car and drove to Connecticut.

I-95 for 13 hours isn't the best, but it leaves plenty of time to read and stare at the trees.
And listen to the same Science Friday 4 times.

Stamford
Stamford was a lot like the fish camp.

It was kind of isolated because of germs, and we spent time playing games.

This is a reminder to drink water. You might not be thirsty, but it will probably make you feel better.

The final vertex of the triangle is Colorado.
Colorado

Adam and I flew out to hang out with Andrew for the weekend.

I had never been to Colorado so this was exciting for me.

A lot of people think that technology removes people from nature.

But I don't think that's the case.

In some ways technology plunges you deeper into nature and the problems that are associated.

For example, how in the heck are you going to get to Colorado without a plane, a train, or a car?
Answer: You probably aren't.
And then you wouldn't feel the dryness, the altitude, or the difference between here and the comfort of where you were.

It's not Switzerland, but dang.

We played a 9 hole, par 3 course. It was short and sweet.

Honestly, that's the perfect amount of golf for me.

We also went white water rafting which was very cool and very cold.

The white trees are called 'Aspens'. They have a waxy bark to protect from forest fires, and they grow in groups of 4 or 5 with a system of interconnected roots.

We went on a hike too.

The trail was called Berry Picker, but I didn't see a single berry.

The trail weaves in and out of ski slopes as it heads up the mountain. Andrew knew them by name and told us all of his skiing stories.

We were very sore the next day.

I think it's so fun to see snow in the summer.

If given the choice, you should not fly on Frontier airlines.

Coming soon: boat.
